What is a cross draw holster and who is it for?
A cross draw holster is worn on the off hand side of the body so the dominant hand reaches across the body to draw. Cross draw carry works well for seated shooters (drivers, patrol car officers), riders, anyone with a shoulder injury that limits a strong side draw, and shooters who want a faster reach to the firearm while sitting. The Wild Hog Premium is fully ambidextrous, so it works as both a cross draw and strong side rig.
Will the Wild Hog Premium fit my pistol?
The Wild Hog Premium is offered in fitments shaped around specific firearms. Each product variant on this page lists exact pistol compatibility, including barrel length and frame match. Pick your firearm before checkout for a perfect fit and proper trigger guard coverage.
Can a right-handed shooter and a left-handed shooter both use this holster?
Yes. The holster is fully ambidextrous. A right-handed shooter wears it on the left side for cross draw or the right hip for strong side carry. A left-hand carrier flips the configuration. Same holster, both setups.
What size belt does the Wild Hog Premium fit?
The single belt loop accommodates belts up to 1¾" wide. We recommend a proper gun belt rather than a dress belt for daily carry.
How is this holster different from a strong side holster?
A dedicated strong side holster only carries on the dominant hand side. The Wild Hog Premium gives you both: strong side carry when you want it, cross draw when you don't. One holster handles both carry positions.
